Online Church?
Understanding the context of "online Church" is important. What defines #Church? what defines #OnlineChurch? are they the same? The article below defines both - long read; but worth it. For those looking to establish a different approach to #ChurchPlanting - There are a lot of things we can do online (and should) - however, in our freedom to worship we must opt to utilize the ability to gather in person wherever and whenever possible.
.
This is not to call those that can only meet online inferior. As a matter of fact we hold an obligation to better their experience. The #Gospel as a message exists in both the online and offline place. It is a message we hold an obligation to share as followers of Jesus. For those that are not able to meet in person because external circumstances know that there are those working to help you, equip you and establish online resources to benefit all those you reach.
My position for those holding a large online presence is that they take on the role of the evangelist. The evangelist does not hold the responsibility of the Pastor. The Evangelist shares the message but the Pastor walks with and shares Biblical truths to help establish Scriptural clarity for those on their spiritual journey to have relationship with Jesus.
